Nicole Evans is a children’s author, and licensed marriage and family therapist in California, Colorado, and Texas.

She has been practicing therapy for the last 10 years and works with people of all different ages struggling with a range of mental health issues within her private practice, Nicole Evans Therapy.

The Adventures of Sonny originated during Covid, when she was spending extra time with her Golden Retriever, Bear, and her best friend was pregnant with her first child. She came up with a quick little story for her friend’s baby about a Golden Retriever named Sonny who goes to the zoo and that is when “Sonny Goes to the Zoo” was born.

Since then, she has been writing other mini stories to add to Sonny’s Adventures. She hopes to bring her audience fun, light-hearted books, while also adding in some of her therapeutic skill set to help teach her young readers valuable lessons and learn more about themselves and their emotions.
